COLIN STETSON RELEASES LONG-FORM VIDEO VERSION OF HIS NEW ALBUM: THE LOVE IT TOOK TO LEAVE YOU

Out today, watch the stunning 52 minute long-form video version of Colin Stetson’s latest album The love it took to leave you, recorded winter 2023 at the Darling Foundry in Montreal along with the album.

“My latest album, The love it took to leave you, was recorded live with no overdubs, the sound of the instrument being captured by myriad microphones placed on and around me and the saxophone and throughout the expansive space. And capturing the moment even more fully, each performance in studio was filmed while lights and video were triggered in real time by my microphones - allowing the shape and color and intensity of the light in the room to be a pumping and breathing extension of the music itself.” - Colin Stetson

Also today Stereogum published an article about Martha Stewart dissing Colin Stetson, according to her she wanted Snoop Dogg to soundtrack her Netflix documentary but the director got Colin Stetson… go figure :)
