Described as a dynamic and sublime work rich in emotion, and sensitivity, the new album From Where You Came weaves together influences from 19th-century programmatic music, mid-’70s jazz, and modern electronic composition. Coverdale crafts an album that transcends genre and civilized time, serving as a profound reconnection with land, body, and spirit through mythical forms of fantasia. From Where You Came presents a landmark musical vision that speaks to the rootlessness and alienation of modernity, while celebrating the resilience of human connection and imagination.

Composed across several continents including at the GRM Studio in Paris and Elektronmusikstudion EMS in Stockholm, the album was ultimately completed in rural Ontario, and was fully written and produced by Coverdale. Featuring contributions from multidisciplinary sound artist and cellist Anne Bourne and Grammy-winning trombonist Kalia Vandever, the album’s 11 compositions employ strings, woodwind, brass, keys, software, and modular synthesis, forming a vivid, deeply resonant, and ultimately present sonic language.
